2005 DUETTE Line Extension

It seems as though windows are getting bigger everyday. Thermally efficient glass lets architects’ open-up homes with larger windows letting in light and brightens the surroundings making rooms seem larger. For that reason, the Duette division expanded the 1¼” Duette fabric and 1¼” operating systems availability. The 1¼” pleat size provides a better balance on these larger windows.

The new 1¼” Whisper Sheer fabric is the only sheer fabric on the market today. The natural variations of the 1¼” Batiste add to the beauty of the fabric. Both new fabrics feature TruPleat construction that insures years of crisp pleat beauty.

The 1 ¼” PowerRise can made as wide as 154” with the Whisper Sheer, 132” with Batiste and 120” on the existing 1 ¼” Majestic fabric. Pricing is a width-based surcharge.

The Duette 1 ¼” LiteRise maximum width is 84” or maximum area 49 square feet. Pricing is a width-based surcharge. Great option for homes with small children.

The Cordless Sidelight size range is 6”-11 ¾” wide.

Available with Duette and Applause all pleat sizes except 1 ¼”. Surcharge is only $29.

Luminette Returns At Last

For years you have asked for Luminette returns. For years, Hunter Douglas engineers have struggled with adding returns to Luminette. 2005 is the year of “returns to the wall” on Luminette PowerGlide.

That’s right returns to the wall are standard on Luminette PowerGlide. The new returns perform two important functions. First the returns provide additional privacy, it is recommended that you add four inches per side to maximize the privacy function. Secondly the returns to the wall give the Luminette PowerGlide the finished look of a standard sheer drapery treatment.

Luminette PowerGlide is too expensive you say! Maybe not, when compared with the two treatments and additional hardware and installation costs necessary to equal the total light control functions of the single Luminette Sheer Shading system. Plus you are giving your client the added benefit of a Luminette PowerGlide remote controlled motorized system.

The current 2004 Luminette Sample Book is less than a year old (Summer/Fall 2004) so it has a number of years of life left. Luminette Book is ON SALE supplies are limited so order early.

TRIO Care & Cleaning

Always one of the first questions from a client is

“How do I clean it”? With TRIO the answer is easy. Because Trio Convertible Shades are made of anti-static, dust resistant fabrics, and are very easy to clean.

Routine Cleaning: Dusting, Vacuuming, Light spot cleaning or forced air (clean compressed air from a can or a hair dryer on the COOL setting only).

Deep Cleaning: Ultrasonic cleaning (but do not immerse the headrail) Injection/Extraction cleaning such as On-Site Cleaning. Light dimming fabrics require only the dry method of injection/extraction.
